The course will cover all of the basics of owning and operating a pistol. The course will include disassembly and reassembly of your firearm, ammunition, nomenclature, fundamentals of shooting, safety, and cleaning. We will also be providing you with range time where you will be able to fire both semi-automatic pistols and revolvers in calibers from .22 LR to wherever you feel comfortable. The course includes all NRA manuals, certifications, range time and ammunition.

This class is great for those who are new to pistol shooting or need to refresh old skills. These classes are also great if you are thinking about getting your spouse or children involved in pistol shooting. If you have recently obtained your HQL or MD Wear and Carry and are looking for a new firearm, this is a class in which you can try before you buy. The course cost INCLUDES all your ammunition and firearm use.

Prerequisites

The are no prerequisites for taking this course, and the material is accessible to appropriately supervised mature children.

Course Completion

Students will receive feedback on the live-fire exercise and a course certificate upon successful completion of the lessons. Students will receive a “Basic Practical” rocker upon successful demonstration of firing a qualifying “group”. There is a short written test on the lesson material at the end of the course.
